Puppets in Trumansburg NY
LilySilly is coming to T-burg with our Yes Around the World puppet show and a puppet-making workshop afterwards!
Join us at the Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts on July 11th at 11am.
In “Yes Around the World” a purple puppet travels around the world in his hot air balloon on a quest to say “yes”. “Everywhere I go, people always say no” he concludes. “No, no, no – what a mess – I’m gonna say ‘yes’!”, he sings from up in the sky. Everyone learns to say all kinds of yeses as we travel from country to country. Meanwhile, the NoNo Bird is following close behind.
This show features jazz standards and songs from around the world in different languages. Languages include: Russian, Spanish, Swahili, French, German and a duck quacking in Portuguese.

Moments from Mars…A Very Silly Experiment
A new silly video. We slapped this short puppet play together for our friends this fall. It included aliens from Mars, an intro by a Carl Sagan look-alike, Johnny Depp, Michael Jackson and dinosaurs. Here are a few clips from our experiment.

Santa Baby LilySilly Style
We performed at Lot 10 for the Cosmic Joke Collective this holiday season. Aunt Irene, the puppet, had her own version of the song Santa Baby. Here is a short piece from the performance.
Puppets with Cosmic Joke Collective
This Saturday LilySilly will be performing with the Cosmic Joke Collective, a curated open-mic variety show that celebrates the artistic process of its diverse performers.
Come to Lot 10 at 7pm to check out my version of a holiday song with original lyrics. Short and sweet and may include a whale…
Workshops from LilySilly
LilySilly went to our friends at Camp Annie and made some puppets. It was a blast and then we swam in the pond, too! Check out some of the creations and more on workshops.
Workshops are a great opportunity for hands-on fun. With the guidance of a puppet friend or two, kids get to make their own creations from provided recycled and reclaimed materials. After making the puppets, everyone is invited to play with the puppet theater. Puppets are naturals at storytelling so with just a few basic suggestions, we can have a fun show, or just be silly. Each puppet experience will be different depending on what each group wants to do.
There are many options for puppet building. We can make basic puppets with cardboard and cloth, sew hand puppets with movable mouths or without. We can use hot glue guns, or sewing or something else. The main point is to have fun creating something of your own imagination and sharing it with others.
Want to have a workshop at your school, home or event? Great! Have a question? Alrighty. Get in touch here.
Yes Around the World
LilySilly loves to perform for you! We have shows for kids and adults alike. Enjoy live music by local guitar player Matthew Ocone.
Check out this LilySilly original show we call “Yes Around the World” in which a purple puppet travels around the world in his hot air balloon on a quest to say yes. “Everywhere I go, people always say no” he concludes. “No, no, no – what a mess – I’m gonna say ‘yes’!”, he sings from up in the sky. Everyone learns to say all kinds of yeses as we travel from country to country.

Puppet Workshop with LilySilly
This summer LilySilly went right on over to the Community School of Music and Arts in Ithaca and made some puppets. Kids in the CSMA camp got to meet and interact with a real puppet on a real hand. Several in fact! Then materials were laid out and everyone explored the recycled world of cardboard, string, fabric and whatnot.
Then we all got behind the stage and let the puppets take over the show. Mrs. Lips (below) was a BIG help and let us all know what a puppet is and what a puppet is not. Thanks, Mrs. L.
