This summer LilySilly went right on over to the Community School of Music and Arts in Ithaca and made some puppets. Kids in the CSMA camp got to meet and interact with a real puppet on a real hand. Several in fact! Then materials were laid out and everyone explored the recycled world of cardboard, string, fabric and whatnot.
Then we all got behind the stage and let the puppets take over the show. Mrs. Lips (below) was a BIG help and let us all know what a puppet is and what a puppet is not. Thanks, Mrs. L.
